My first post in my vernacular language. It feels great to write about the sacred book of the Hindus- "BHAGAVAD GITA" . It forms a basis of the Hindu philosophy...The Bhagavad Gita , commonly referred to as the Gita , is a Sanskrit text from the Bhishma Parva of the Mahabharata epic.
The content of the text is a discourse between Lord Krishna and Arjuna on the Battlefields of Kurukshetra just prior to the start of the climatic war. Arjuna was sentimental to fight and felt very sad to participate in the war against his own cousins. Responding to Arjuna's confusion and moral dilemma, Krishna explains to Arjuna his duties as a warrior and Prince and elaborates on a number of different Yogic and Vedantic philosophies, with examples and
analogies. This has led to the Gita often being described as a concise guide to Hindu philosophy and also as a practical, self-contained guide to life. During the discourse, Krishna reveals his identity as the Supreme Being Himself (Bhagavan), blessing Arjuna with an awe-inspiring glimpse of "His" divine absolute form.
I dare not even to try to explain what Gita states .. Is it possible for us , humans, to fathom the depth of the Divine words ? Surely not. But I always had a passion for reading the epic. Without going into the details of the different themes of the Yogas , I put up a very simplified version of the summary. A three stage summary would probably be too tough to realize. After a few iterations for simplifying the key idea , the result would be tangible, at least to some extent.
" To action alone hast thou a right and never at all to its fruits; let not the fruits of action be thy motive; neither let there be in thee any attachment to inaction " ... We have to do our work without thinking of the results.. The result should never be the motive. We should not even think or try to extrapolate whether the results are going to be fruitful or abortive. Its the sincere effort that begets the fruits .. we need not worry about that ..
I have pasted the summary , I once read , on the right pane. But I really apologise that the image is in the Bengali script. I will try to make a very easy direct translation of the above and express the ideas in English. Everybody in his / her life goes through a phase when they are lost. Lets read Gita and try to explore our life in the divine aurora .. Trust me , it will show you the way.
